Enjoy their open air café to soak up the atmosphere of Majorna with trams, trendy pedestrians, and moms and dads on parental leave. If Gothenburg is mistreating you with harsh weather you can always go for the take-away-alternative, offering irresistible leavened bread and cardamom buns.

@kvart_interior

A small yet really inspiring interior shop that refers to itself as a design market, with products from both well-known brands and non-established artists. We love to refer to this lovely place as a bag of candy that no one can resist to dig into. You’ll never walk out from Kvart without a neat paper bag filled with design love. BTW – Don’t miss out on their awesome webshop !

@systermarmelad

A café / bar / restaurant with green focus, opened in the summer of 2015. Vegetarian food, locally connected beer, fine drinks and Chemex coffe is served in a good looking environment that reminds us of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. A totally hipster-friendly place to hang out in. Try their vegetarian brunch on Sundays and enjoy their big open air dining area when the weather allows.

Tapas for dinner in a cozy environment is always right! At Tapas Baren you’ll choose dishes from a menu that changes with the season. Don’t expect typical Spanish tapas, be prepared to try something new each time you stop by.

Plaskis

If you’re bringing your youngest kids to Mariaplan, which we really think you should, take a pit stop or spend a whole day at the shallow outdoor pool Plaskis. This little oasis is full of action during summer and a is great place for hanging out and letting the small ones get rid of some energy. The pool is free and you can easily bring a picnic. This is a fantastic activity when you are on a budget. In fall to late spring the pool is emptied and functions as a place for skaters to practice their skills.

@kafemarmelad

The word on the street says that Kafe Marmelad serves the best latte in Gothenburg. This might actually be true since everything at Marmelad is all about quality. They serve fantastic food, pastries, and don’t forget their hot chocolate with whipped cream. They have their own coffee blend that is amazing!
