Everyone’s go-to summer drink vessel gets a serious upgrade with these fun recipes. (P.S.: Wine coolers are also officially cool again.) As a general rule, 12-oz cans would have 1 to 2 shots of booze. Start with your can of choice and build from there, because no one should have to settle for a regular old beer on the beach.

Tiki Punch:

Hawaiian Sun + white rum + kiwi + candied and fresh pineapple + spritz of lemon to cut sweetness.

Dark ’n’ Stormy:

Gosling’s ginger beer + dark rum + bunch of mint + cucumber and lime wedges + candied ginger.

Michelada:

Light beer (pour out a third) + McClure’s Bloody Mary Mix + habañero pepper + lime wedge dipped in smoked paprika and fine salt.

G&T:

Cucumber soda + gin + cucumber ribbon + bunch of mint + watermelon ball (you can muddle watermelon or cucumber and pour in for extra flavor).

Kir Royale:

Sofia sparkling wine + berry syrup (1 tsp) + sliced berries.

Paloma

: San Pellegrino Sparkling Grapefruit + white tequila + baby Key lime wedge + papaya ball + slice of grapefruit.

Bloody Mary:

Clamato juice + vodka (for 5-oz can use 1/2 shot) + Old Bay Seasoning or horseradish (1/2 tsp) + slim celery stalk + olives + baby Key lime.
