When I stepped into this home for the first time, my jaw dropped. All I could see was swirly wrought iron EVERYWHERE. Our client had just purchased the home and had visions of transforming it into something a bit…fresher. We were up for the challenge.

This renovation was more about taking away than adding to it. We streamlined the design from floor to ceiling — banister, baseboards, fireplace, lighting, hardware, built-ins and wood floors.

And as we all know,

white paint

solves everything! We used Benjamin Moore “White” for the walls, ceiling, doors and trim. A few months (and many gallons) later, we had a clean slate.

Whether you’re doing a large-scale renovation or styling a console table… Edit! Edit! Edit! This philosophy serves us well in both life and design – only surround yourself with the best. In this case, we began the decorating process with the best artwork. Each room has a stunning piece from which we built the rest of the design.

From there, we layered a mix of furniture styles, beautiful textiles and

statement lighting

to bring every room to life. The result is a clean, modern home that also manages to be inviting and warm.
