A five-star spa, a stadium-worthy tennis court, and an extravagant chef’s kitchen might be on the average Oscar winner’s must-have list, but Emma Stone isn’t like other Hollywood veterans. Her quirky Beverly Hills hideaway—which just hit the market for $3.9 million—takes a strong stance on kitsch.

If you were able to catch a glance of the La La Land star’s retreat from the high wall that disguises it from street view, you’d probably have the home pegged as clean and traditional. One step past the tomato red front door, however, and suddenly you’re swimming in a sea of bold wallpaper, bright paint colors, and MacKenzie-Childs-inspired prints. While it’s unlikely that some of the quirkier decor decisions were made by Stone (the celeb-pedigreed home had been previously owned by actor Dudley Moore, according to Variety), the traditional-meets-kitsch abode’s whimsical spirit makes a case for using color on every wall. Here are a few of our favorite colors used in the space and how to revamp the look yourself.

Spanning 3,862 square feet, the four-bedroom home kicks off with a loud red-and-white wallpapered foyer. Always primed for impact, this color pairing is a classic for a reason.

It’s no secret that we love a blue kitchen, but who says you can’t use the versatile hue in the living and dining room too? The imposing white brick fireplace appears larger than life against the powder blue hue.

Off the traditional white and black kitchen sits a second sun-drenched sitting room featuring—what else—more wallpaper. While the over-scaled abstract floral motif feels slightly tired, its eye-catching color is more relevant now than ever.

A far cry from the happy colors that reign supreme downstairs, the master bathroom’s checkered wall covering proves that strong graphics are sometimes the most meaningful in small spaces.
