achieved gentlemanly sophistication without sacrificing modern appeal.

When Eddie Lee purchased his two-bedroom, midtown Manhattan apartment last September, he knew exactly what he eventually wanted the potential-rich fixer-upper to look like: “I wanted to create an industrial-chic vibe,” Lee explains, “that felt at once distinctly urban and thoughtfully tailored.” For Lee, this meant a total renovation, including elevating the previously 8-foot ceilings to a loftier 12 feet, tearing out decades-old Sheetrock to expose the walls’ original brick, and gutting the kitchen and bathroom. To strike a worldly note, Lee selected the sexy Fashion Forward palette from the new HGTV HOME™ paint collection from Sherwin-Williams . (He even chose an attention-grabbing dark gray for the ceiling in order to lend his home a sense of mod masculinity.) Then, Lee customized the quartz countertops from Caesarstone in the kitchen and bathroom, and added state-of-the-art chrome faucets and fixtures from Moen and an assortment of hip artwork and accessories. He also found innovative and exciting ways to use Caesarstone quartz for the fireplace surround and shower paneling. “It was all about crafting a raw, natural backdrop with lots of contemporary elements,” he says.
