Welcome to 10 Things, where we ask our favorite creatives and tastemakers to share what brings joy to their lives (because it might enhance yours too).

Though Courtney Adamo spent 12 years in London and 18 months traveling with her husband and five kids before settling into the popular coastal enclave of Byron Bay, Australia, she’s now right at home at the beach. Between nurturing her multiple business endeavors—Adamo is the founder of baby brand Babyccino and e-course In The Loop—and spending quality time with her adorable brood, she enjoys early morning surf sessions, hosts alfresco pizza parties for friends, and takes aromatherapy baths after long days. Not to mention, she documents it all on her wildly popular Instagram feed. Here, she shares the 10 things that make her happy.

The Family Activity

I’m relatively new to surfing, but since moving to Byron Bay a few years ago, I can’t imagine life without it. It’s a passion I share with my children and something we all do as a family. I also love the mediative benefits and the connection with nature. My husband bought me a new surfboard for Christmas from the local shaper, McTavish, and it was such a huge task to choose the right color pink!

The Everyday Accessory

I love the handmade irregularities and imperfections of the jewelry by Kelci Potter. Each piece feels so special. I wear the Body As The Sea ring on my ring finger because I love it more than my wedding ring!

The Beach Bum Must-Have

When you spend most of your free time at the beach, a good swimsuit is a crucial staple in your wardrobe. I have always loved the swimwear from U.S. brand Malia Mills. Some of my swimsuits are more than 10 years old and still going strong. Recently, I’ve discovered the Australian brand Matteau. The long-sleeve sun tops are great for long days in the sun.

The Personal Touch

Years ago, my sister made me a wall hanging for above my baby’s bed. When I shared a photo on my Instagram, she received so much interest from other people that she now makes and sells them in her little vintage shop, Story Goods. It’s one of my favorite pieces in our home!

The Design Inspiration

Every time I walk into the Pampa concept store here in Byron, I want to rush home and redecorate! Everything in there is beautiful with natural, earthy tones. I especially love the wool rugs and cushions. They’re hand-woven and hand-dyed by artisans in rural Argentina.

The Wind Down Essential

Everyday Oil is a recent find, but I am completely obsessed! It’s an organic blend of plant-based oils, it smells divine, and it’s especially soothing after a day spent outside.

The Summer Footwear

There are so many wonderful brands based here in Byron Bay, and St. Agni is one of my favorites. It makes the prettiest sandals, slides, and loafers—perfect for the laid-back beach lifestyle here.

The Once-in-a-Lifetime Vacation

A few years ago, my family spent 18 months traveling around the world. Of all the places we visited, nothing was more magical than this charming little village in Brazil. And Casa Lola was perfection down to the tiniest details.

The Dinner Party Hit

We recently bought a pizza oven, and it’s such a fun (and easy!) way to have friends over for dinner. Michael takes his pizza-making very seriously, and as a result, we enjoy delicious meals that would make our Neapolitan friends proud.

The Sunday Morning Treat

I’m a sucker for matching jammies; I get it from my mom. Nothing makes me happier than having all the kids jump into my bed in the morning in fresh, snuggly PJs!
