From striped nursery walls to upgraded IKEA kitchen cabinets, sage green has ruled the color-verse since early 2021—and every major paint brand agrees. Benjamin Moore, Sherwin-Williams, Behr, and PPG all declared some version of the shade the color of the year for 2022. While the pale verdant hue, beloved for its soothing yet statement-making qualities, isn’t going anywhere, it may have some competition in one of Clare’s three just-launched swatches: High Vibe.

“We’re definitely not moving away from sage,” says the company’s founder, Nicole Gibbons. “But going deeper is a direct response to what we know customers are loving right now.” The hue, inspired by good energy and honeydew melon, has a slightly more yellow undertone than the brand’s bluish Money Moves—its best-selling sage.

The spike in demand for feel-good, spring-inspired colors explains the other two shades that just joined Clare’s ultra-curated palette: Extra Virgin, a darker olive green, and Like Buttah, a creamy off-white. If you are not in for a full four-wall refresh and just looking for a hit of sage’s cooler cousin, olive oil, here are a few ways to bring the trend home.
