Somewhere in between chasing around 2-year-old Luna, having a new baby boy, coming out with a Blue Apron partnership, and just generally being a boss lady, Chrissy Teigen has also purchased a new NYC pad with her ultra-talented hubby John Legend. According to The Real Deal, the couple snatched up a 3-bed, 3-bath loft in the 1856 Brewster Carriage House building, a refurbished gem situated in the Nolita neighborhood. Picking up this stunning penthouse set the couple back $9 million… but one peek inside proves it was well worth the price tag.

Teigen and Legend are no strangers to the building. In fact, the couple previously lived in a one-bedroom apartment in the antique landmark, before selling it back in 2016 in favor of a more family-friendly home for their expanding clan. After selling the unit, the couple purchased a stunning Beverly Hills mansion that was also formerly owned by none other than Rihanna. Casual.

But now, it looks like everyone’s favorite duo is making moves back to the Big Apple. We can totally see why: Complete with exposed brick, 13-foot ceilings, and oversized windows with sweeping views, their new home is New York living at its finest.

A chef’s kitchen fit for cooking up some of Chrissy’s favorite dishes (mac and cheese, anyone?) sits to one side of the open floor plan on the main level. Thanks to floods of natural light, it feels airy and spacious—though that may also be thanks to the 2,610 square feet that make up the interior.

Cristallo white quartz centers the large island—which features sleek top-of-the-line appliances—while custom dark oak cabinets and hand-oxidized brass upper cabinets give the eat-in area a luxe feel.

Custom milled white oak flooring runs throughout the home; though many of the doors and windowsills are fitted with wood from the original carriage house, adding a touch of history to the modernized loft.

In terms of layout, the penthouse offers two master suites, both featuring spacious walk-in closets and en suite bathrooms, plus an additional bedroom that’s perfect for the kids.

A private roof garden that can be accessed off the main living area boasts sensational views of the surrounding city. At 1,800 square feet, the exterior space is by far one of the best aspects of the luxurious abode. The terrace features irrigated planters, an outdoor sound system, and a state-of-the-art outdoor kitchen with a gas grill—the perfect setup for both entertaining and relaxing.

The listing was held by Douglas Elliman’s Lisa Interdonato, Raymond Dillulio, Fredrik Eklund and John Gomes.
