Decor and furniture shopping has come a long way. Gone are the days of having to solely resort to an in-store experience or spending hours trawling the internet. The future of home retail is all about curation through a guided shopping experience. Case in point: Casa Perfect.

The residential gallery, by The Future Perfect founder David Alhadeff, invites a fresh perspective to how we approach retail for the home. Following the success of the brand’s inaugural showhouse venture in California, Alhadeff sought to replicate the model of Casa Perfect LA in New York.

“The most crucial step was finding the right space to bring the concept to life in an authentic way that felt true to The Future Perfect’s vision,” said Alhadeff in a statement. “Casa is first and foremost about the experience. The shopping comes second.”

And Alhadeff managed to do just that. Situated in the heart of the West Village in a contemporary five-story townhouse, Casa Perfect New York is a meeting point for one-of-a-kind and custom design pieces thoughtfully integrated within a picture-perfect space.

At the forefront of the home, extending from the basement level to the terrace up top, you’ll find the undeniable piece de resistance of the apartment: a sculptural staircase designed by British architect David Chipperfield.

The eclectically curated pieces found within the gallery each emulate The Future Perfect’s key aesthetic that marries the avant-garde with the traditional. Statement lighting by Michael Anastassiades and exclusive seating from Dimore Studio are just the tip of the design iceberg here. Make your way upstairs and you’ll find yourself enthralled by the high-contrast finish of the marble bathroom, situated a floor above a built-in shelf lined with a vibrant slew of Memphis ceramic pieces. At Casa Perfect, inspiration comes with abundance.

The experiential space, which Alhadeff and partner Jason Duzansky will call home for the next five years, will also double as a destination for events, exhibits, and panels.

Casa Perfect is located on 8 Saint Luke’s Place in New York City and is available for viewings by appointment only, starting March 11.
