After years of sharing cramped Manhattan digs with roommates, Brittany S. Chevalier decided it was time for a truly adult abode. Together with her boyfriend, Clark McIntyre, she ventured west to Hoboken—just across the Hudson River in her home state of New Jersey—where she found the ideal spot for putting her design knowledge to the test. After covering the entire apartment with Ralph Lauren Paint’s creamy Tibetan Jasmine, Chevalier filled her home with functional furnishings and crafted a colorful

in her open living area, which helps to define and organize the space.

“For the first time in my life, I was able to be creative in making my own home,” Chevalier says. “And I feel like the outcome truly reflects my personality and approach to design.”
