Hi again domino!  I wanted to share some thoughts (and images!) about the use of blue and white in interior design.

Whether your taste is traditional or more contemporary, I love how each of the designs below offers a fresh take on an old favorite. Nobody does traditional with a twist quite like designer Allison Caccoma. Allison is master at layering patterns, is never afraid of a playful print and always dreams up surprising color combinations that hit all of the right notes. I love the feeling of this kitchen in a weekend beach house.

This guest room by Allison Caccoma defines traditional with a twist and invites you to settle in for a long visit. A breath of fresh air.

I am a huge fan of navy and love how the wall color (here, a sea grass paper) provides the drama in this classic and beautiful blue/white dining room by designer Angela Camarda for Lillian August Designs.

Designers Ray Forehand and Christina Lake created this impossibly serene master bedroom space with outstanding materials and workmanship and a oh-so-subtle and calming use of blue and white.

Designer Lisa Friedman is well known as a virtuoso of all things grey. Her designs and use of color are always quietly perfect. And though she ventures here into a more diverse palette, the expert execution is just gorgeous.  A modern mix of blue and white that makes this room just soar.

Hard for me to write a piece on blue and white without highlighting this showstopping room by wunderkind designer Sam Allen: A stunning use of blue and white with just right color contrasts and accessories to make your jaw drop. I’d sit in this room all day long. Inspired!

In two other spaces in this same seaside home, Sam uses blue and white again– but with more restraint. And the results are equally compelling.

Quiet spaces with great taste.

And last by not least, I’ve shared images from this FAB poolhouse designed by Sarah Kaplan and styled by Ronny Carroll of Dovecote before but the space is so compelling, it’s worth sharing another view here! Wherever you look in this very small space, it just feels right.  This fireside seating area embodies chic and artfully depicts blue and white done right!
