When Dallas Shaw told us she’d just completed the interior design in her home, something stood out to us. Actually five somethings did. You know that feeling when you go to a friend’s house and you simply have to ask her where she got everything? That’s what’s happening here, just on the Internet. Dallas indulged us and gave us the skinny on our five favorite items from around her home. Yes, the neon light is our favorite, too.

NEON SIGN I had this custom neon sign made at Let there be Neon, in NYC. It reads “just gimme the light” and it’s in my own handwriting! We placed it over the fireplace, you know—traditional. We have an old home (1905) so I like that it makes the space feel a little bit more relaxed when combined with the charming details around it. The metallic cowhide and fun mixed prints work well together and feel very “me”.

DINING ROOM LIGHT This light is possibly my absolute favorite item in my home. I got it at Angersteins in Delaware and it’s by Arteriors. It’s on a dimmer so even though it’s low and the bulbs are exposed we can change the brightness level. This room acts as our dining room, but also as a creative space for my team, and the scalamandre wallpaper, from Aubusson Home, is so perfect for us. We paired it with a jute Rugs-USA rug and a danish-style table from Ikea to keep the rest simple.

BRANCH SIDE TABLE My closet is a full room and styled a bit untraditionally. It feels more “relaxed boutique” and less “cubed closet”. The branch side table is always holding shoes, a jewelry stand- whatever the latest special purchase is. I found the table at Safavieh, who’s style I am crazy about. It’s called the Tara Accent Table and the top is black glass. It’s just a beautiful accent piece, and I love that the iron branch legs are unexpected.

BED I can’t pass up a salmon color tufted anything, so this bed is perfect for me. You’ll be surprised where it’s from too. It was custom made by Target! I work with their team here and there and begged for them to make one for me in a pink the second I moved in. It was feeling very girly so everything else in the room is a bit more masculine to tone that down a bit (studded side tables, a wooden console, and a southwestern rug). The plain sheets also keep it from feeling overly “frilly”.

PENDANT LIGHT This is also a piece I found at Angersteins. The room has a few metallic touches throughout so the light compliments those. It also keeps the other elements like the Nina Campbell Aubusson Home Shades, and the tufted

velvet couch

from feeling too glam. I’m all about a good mix and this light was the answer to pulling this room together.
