We love Ikea, but navigating the store’s vast inventory can be madness. Out of all the products available for purchase, it’s hard to tell whether the item we’re interested in will be something we love, or something that will fall apart after six months of use. That’s why we had our editors weigh in on their tried-and-true Ikea favorites.

Äpplaro, Gateleg table, $79

Jessica Dailey, Digital Editorial Director This is the absolute best table for a small outdoor space. When folded up, it takes up basically no space, but with both sides out, you can seat four to six people. I have two different chairs from this line as well. All of the pieces have a sturdy wood construction, and the stain holds up to the elements.

Svalnas

, Wall-mounted shelf combination, $100

Alyssa Clough, Associate Social Media Editor “I’ve been searching for the perfect open shelves to add to some extra wall space in my kitchen and was so happy to discover this product. I saw it in stores the other day, and it looked awesome in person. I also love how customizable it is. You can get a desk unit, cabinets, and so much more to create a whole wall of shelving. It’s definitely one of my favorite new products from Ikea.”

Pax Wardrobe, $390

Rachel Besser, Market Editor “While this isn’t the sexiest Ikea product, this Pax Wardrobe has been the best extra storage and full length mirror. I’ve been able to count on this product after disassembling and reassembling it in three different apartments.”

Frosta Stool, $14.99

Lahaina Alcantara, Photo Editor “The Frosta stools are super versatile—I use them for extra seating and plant stands. They stack up so I can hide them in a closet when I don’t need them.”

Fado Table Lamp, $19.99

Alex Redgrave, Executive Editor “The Fado light. It costs $20 and looks great on the floor or on a low side table for instant zen vibes.”

Norden, Gateleg table, $179

Anna Kockarian, Digital Editor “I love this piece for its sheer versatility and small-space-friendly composition. I bought one when I first moved into my studio and it was able to function as a stand for my television, a dining table, and as a stand-in office desk.”

Fridfull, Plant pot, water hyacinth, $5.99

Elly Leavitt, Associate Digital Editor “Love the woven texture and how it almost looks like a basket instead of a traditional planter. It’s also super affordable so you don’t have to spend a ton for a chic way to store your plants.”
