Ace Hotels, New Orleans, LA

The Ace brings its art deco vibes to the Big Easy, with Roman and Williams designing the sultry space. A former furniture store, the hotel takes its inspiration from the rich jazz history of New Orleans, with turntables and acoustic guitars in each room, as well as scenic backdrops of New Orleans Opera House.

Designed by Brooklyn-based design firm Studio Tack, Coachman Hotel is a newly renovated property that combined two previous motels (the Royal Coachman and the Green Lantern) to create what can best be described as “a summer camp for adults.” Frette linens, plywood, custom wall lights, an outdoor fire pit, and a massive poolside lawn characterize the rustic space.

The Line DC, Washington, DC

Rates start at $268 per night

A former neoclassical church has been converted into a 220-room hotel in DC’s Adams Morgan neighborhood, but don’t think that means a complete renovation. In fact, several classic features have been retained, such as 60-foot vaulted ceilings, brass detailing, and rich copper cabinetry—leaving you feeling like you’re living in an ancient Roman cathedral.

The Pendry, Baltimore, MD
