Per AD’s exclusive editorial, Cooper commissioned the four-building compound—dubbed “Casa Anderson”—in 2013, upon first visiting (and falling in love) with the Brazilian town of Trancoso.

The master suite sits inside a two-story tree house forged from salvaged barn wood and boasts an

outdoor living room

and wet bar.

Two separate guest bungalows sit in the middle of the spread and are made of reclaimed Bahian timber.

A fourth, colonial-style cottage contains a living room, kitchen, and dining room (outfitted in native devotional oratories and an antique confessional chair) for entertaining guests on the gorgeous grounds.

A hallowed out tree trunk was transformed into an adorable outdoor shower by designer Wilbert Das (the former creative director of clothing brand Diesel)!

The free-form swimming pool is surrounded by native plants that are unique to the local rainforests, including acai, jackfruit, mango, banana, and cacao trees—creating one insanely dreamy scene that only someone as sophisticated as Cooper could pull off.
