Statement countertops. Hidden storage. Painted cabinets. These projects typically get most of the attention in a kitchen makeover, but Amber Lewis wants you to think smaller. She recently shared a snap of her in-progress renovation, and it boasts the most gorgeous integrated sink.

If you’re considering your own kitchen revamp, allow us to make the case for integrated sinks. They’re totally customizable, easy to clean (one material makes for quite the low-maintenance upkeep), and instantly command attention.

Speaking of personalization, that’s the best part. Marble seems to be the favored style, but who said classic has to be boring? Try something cool and punchy, like a bright blue variety. (Psst: Aelfie Oudghiri is a fan.) If you’re into a glitzier look, we’ve also seen this design shine in copper—check out DeVol Kitchen’s showroom for major inspo. And anyone hoping to add a ’70s flare to their space should consider terrazzo. Detroit’s Siren Hotel makes the case for going retro, and we love Huguet’s range of color-flecked products. Just because it’s a functional fixture doesn’t mean your sink has to be an afterthought.
