It’s easy to be obsessed with California: From cool-girl shopping in Beverly Hills to colorful coworking spaces in San Francisco, there’s so much design inspiration to be found everywhere in the state. And Palm Springs is no exception: From trendy boutique hotels to stylish fashion, there’s never a shortage of things to do. If you’ve yet to trek to this must-visit Cali getaway, let these Instagrams be your guide. Heck, they might even convince you to move there.
Your first stop? The colorful exteriors of The Saguaro Palm Springs—Insta bait at its finest.
Of course, you’ve come on holiday to eat and drink some—and the Ace Hotel has some of the best around. The New York City-based chain has a 179-room location in Palm Springs, complete with a pool and spa. Check out both King’s Highway and The Amigo Room, which are major hotspots in their own right. We’ll have five of whatever she’s having.
Speaking of the Ace Hotel, its dreamy exteriors fit right in with the sunny hues of the area. Unlike its recently opened counterpart in New Orleans, which has a decidedly darker palette, this Palm Springs outpost has bright white walls and playful accents. Case in point? This dreamy mural that exudes a beachy vibe.
Palm Springs is famous for its modern architecture, and this home exemplifies the aesthetic. But don’t think that means it’s boring: We have a legitimate color crush on the front door.
This boho-chic outdoor campfire situation at the Korakia Hotel is making us rethink all of our patio plans. Talk about a desert dream in the middle of nowhere: Crafty bungalows, a cozy bonfire, and olive trees harmoniously create a bohemian oasis.
Search #thatpinkdoor on Instagram, and you’ll begin to understand. This is possibly the most shared door in Palm Springs, and it’s easy to see why.
The main entrance of The Parker Palm Springs is usually photographed to include the orange door that completes the facade, but we don’t mind this angle, either. The vibrant, easy breezy aesthetic is peak California.
It isn’t just the stunning exterior of The Parker that gets excited: The hotel has a pretty impressive interior, too. From their Jonathan Adler-furnished lobby to this staircase, everything is perfectly curated to fit the carefree vibe.
Visit the Moorten Botanical Garden and Cactarium for curated cacti that will make you want to turn your current home into a greenhouse—we’ll just chalk it up to desert influences.
The pool scene at the Colony Palms Hotel—conveniently located just one block from the design district—sure beats the view from our office cubicles. And after being in the hot sun all day, a dip in the pool is all you need.
